OVERVIEW
Sometimes we cannot fathom what our life was like before our never-ending to-do list took over our lives. Sometimes we feel as though we have little space to be anything other than a parent, an employee, a spouse, etc.
We all deserve a safe space where we can be just ourselves. Nothing more. Nothing less.
That's exactly why I started using writing as a creative outlet. Sometimes journaling. Sometimes creative writing.
Regardless, it's okay to take a break. It's okay to carve time out of your day, just for you, where you can offload all that mental clutter, turn off the world, and return to being yourself.
All workshops are hosted by the Parents Who Write podcast.

Yes! I'm ready to get started writing!
HI, FRIENDS!
I'm a wife, mom, and writer, who not so long ago had felt like my entire identity, aside from "mom," had completely vanished.
I remember all too well how much I used to dismiss my needs, ignore my feelings, and keep pushing forward.
Until I started to feel the urge for change. This urge kept tugging on my sleeve, trying to get my attention. And finally, perhaps in the midst of potty training my last kiddo, I decided to listen.
When I picked up my pen and when I started click-clacking away on my laptop, my heart spilled onto the page.
Sometimes journaling. Sometimes creative writing. Slowly, I saw the pieces forming. The pieces of who I was. Who I am. Who I still could be.
And I found my purpose—helping other parents rediscover and reconnect with themselves through writing. To help them listen, find all those pieces, and put them back together again.
And this is all what Let’s Get Started Writing is all about.
“I never thought I’d have time to write again after having my three kids, much less time to write an entire novel. But I had so many ideas in my head I wanted to get out to people. Erin’s workshop helped me hone my writing habits so that I could not only make progress but also finish my first manuscript and publish it!
“I feel like she saved my entire life with that workshop! I didn’t know who I was anymore, and now I’m an author.”
“You were super friendly and good at anticipating the struggles of non-pro writers (or maybe all writers). I liked getting an overview of the process and getting a small inside view of the industry. The advice to be authentic was very reassuring.”
“You were very animated and encouraging. You really were touching in terms of understanding how it feels to be a parent and losing one self. I liked the flow of the class and how it was organized with the segments of the writing process.”
“You delivered the workshop's information in clear, concise, yet relatable terms without rambling or trailing off. I felt the passion, and it created further engagement in wanting to continue this journey myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I needed this!”
“I thought you explained things really well and made it interesting. I liked how it flowed. I know I can take what I wrote today and go a lot further with it. You were very encouraging and engaging with everyone.”
“You’re incredibly knowledgeable about it! You gave great advice about why we should start with articles and smaller pieces to build an audience.”
We all deserve a safe space where we can return to being just ourself. Nothing more. Nothing less.
